The Accentrix is a musical group from western North Carolina that consists of the core songwriting and recording members, Paul and Hollie Hendricks, as well as other talented musicians that fill in instrumentation as the need arises for performances. Their music can be described as a folk/jazz/blues/soul tinged rock that is acoustic and electric. Fans have described their music as having a modern twist on the “Muscle Shoals” sound. Hollie’s soulful, bluesy vocals and saxophone playing ride along the waves of Paul’s rhythmic, jazzy and percussive guitar playing. They enjoy using their freedom as independent musicians to write music within their own parameters, and each song is unique and eclectic within its own right. Hollie and Paul are classically trained professional musicians-they both have degrees in music and are both public school music educators. They perform as often as possible in their free time-in the summer of 2024, they performed over 30 shows in western NC as a duo and 4 piece band! A fun fact-Hollie and Paul won a contest on StereoFame, and the prize was a remix by grammy award winning producer, Ken Lewis!
